<20:34 EEST> One of the things I appreciate in the Christian holidays -- besides the obvious leave from work -- is that they promote winding down and spending some quiet time. Not that it happens in practice for many people, as these holidays are usually filled with extended family congregations, which I generally find rather more hectic than working life.

A part of my miserable living in Kuopio is due to the apartment's location in the busy city centre, on the side of a two-lane street. Weekends in Jyväskylä are pretty much the only occasion for me to wind down, and the extended kind is more than welcome.
