<14:45 EEST> It seems that nothing whatsoever happened in June. In my spare time between jobs, my main involvement has been yet another theatrical production, whose main rehearsal period took place in June. Pikku Jättiläinen premiered on Thursday, with further 17 shows coming up. I found myself a relatively new position in playing another composer's tunes, though I ended up writing quite a few pieces myself too. The live band's consistency and style are somewhat reminiscent of Aavikko or Nieminen & Litmanen, with a drummer backing up my vintage organ.

With all the free time I've also experimented with a number of new distributed computing projects, such as Primegrid and Moneybee. I maintain that there's a lot of unused computer time around, such that could be useful for resource-starved research, though I don't recommend running computers solely for these projects. I found a nice overview of these ideas by another party, so you don't have to take my word for it.
