Yesterday was one of these hectic but epic days of theatre and tech. I had
organized a Bitcoin promotional performance with JYT for the Bittiraha.fi tour. The brief afternoon
show was a culmination of many frustrating days behind the scenes, and
quite succesful after all. I had to rush for a movie production site for the
rest of the evening, which is a whole other topic for later this fall.
Returning to clean up the crime scene late at night, I managed to sneak into the Bitcoin pub just in time for a Guinness, paid with the proper currency using my N900, SSH and Bittools. It was a great first POS experience, but potentially a little frustrating, so I later wrote a helper script for future events.
Of course, this was also a nice opportunity to meet up with the local Bitcoiners, as well as Bittiraha staff, after all this time online. Like the moment when you notice other people using your open source project, there was a similar feeling of things suddenly becoming alive.
